For years, CUE has been a sponsor and more recently, a co-producer of the California Student Media Festival. We share the message below to make sure you’re all aware of a way you can support student creativity, possibly support your school and the California State Parks in one fell swoop! While we know that many of you are away from students until the fall – but teachers can enter too!
Take a trip to a state park near you (there are 278) and bring a camera or sketch pad – it’ll be fun!

Let your Creativity run wild in the Parks this summer, and you could win $1000 for your school!
Your Summer Challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to create a video or multimedia project focused on the California State Parks. All projects must include California State Parks content focusing in one or more of the following categories:
- Parks Natural History
- Parks Cultural History
- Recreation and the Parks
